MHEC is pleased to announce an agreement with Trend Micro, providing:
- Significant discount on Trend Micro’s award-winning antivirus and content security software and hardware appliances
- Trend Micro products at a significant discount beyond Trend Micro’s normal academic pricing for MHEC institutions
- Easier process for purchasing antivirus products
The agreement is the first of its kind between MHEC and an antivirus provider. The agreement allows institutions to purchase Trend Micro’s full range of antivirus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, and content security solutions, which can protect all aspects of an institution’s IT network, servers, and personal computers.

The contract between Trend Micro and MHEC was originally derived through a MHEC-initiated RFP process. The agreement expires no earlier than March 2, 2010, and through extension, no later than March 2, 2012.
