Contract cannot be applied to previously purchased Oracle software, only new purchases
Annual increase in technical support capped at 4% per year. Minimum 35% discount on products ordered. Discounts of 50% are obtainable for orders totaling over $2 million. However, no inter-institutional aggregation is allowed.
5-25% discounts are available on training, depending on the order size.
Campus License Discount of 90-98.75% depending upon the size of the order and the specific products being ordered. The Campus License incorporates Oracle’s entire core technology portfolio and is based upon the numbers of students, staff, and faculty at the campus. As such, there are no restrictions as to how many systems (existing or future) are deployed using the software. This includes the student record system, back office enterprise administrative software applications, on-line learning environments, and dynamic websites, for example.
Specific discounts for consulting and implementation services are not provided because they are situation dependent. This information only provides a general contract overview. The MHEC-Oracle contract takes precedence and should be reviewed carefully prior to signing any ordering document.
The MHEC-Oracle contract was not the result of a competitive RFP process; nevertheless, state-funded schools should be able to use it for single-source acquisitions (such as the Oracle database) or contract extensions for existing Oracle products.
The contract between Oracle and MHEC is effective through February 25, 2015, and may be renewed for two additional one-year terms.
